Historic Inn ‘Aburaya’ and the Post-Town along the Ise Pilgrimage Road

‘Aburaya’, the 300 year-old historic inn remains exactly as it used to be in Edo period. Located at the diverging point of the two different pilgrimage roads, Ise Hon-Kaido and Hase Kaido, this area has flourished as Shukuba-machi, a post-station town. It was bustling with pilgrims in those days, and even today, the area has a historic post-town feel.
