The Perfect Destination for Nature Photography and Outdoor Recreation.
Haibara is an old area, whose name has been used since ancient Manyo Period (8th century). With rich natural scenery such as mountains, forests and terraced rice paddies, Haibara is a great destination for photographers and outdoor activity lovers. Haibara is truly “off-the-beaten-path!”
‘Aburaya’, a 300 year-old historic inn remains exactly as it used to be in Edo period. Located at the diverging point of the two different pilgrimage roads, 'Ise Hon-Kaido' and 'Hase Kaido', this area has flourished as Shukuba-machi (a post-station town). It was bustling with pilgrims in those days, and even today, the area has a historic post-town feel.

Ryuchin Falls is located upstream of Fukatani River that flows into Muro Dam. Up the stream lie many huge rocks, among which crystal clear water flows smoothly over flat rocks. The small basin looks beautiful in emerald green, and the Ryuchin Shrine standing at the stream bank adds quite a mysterious atmosphere to the place. This place is totally a hidden gem in Uda City!
